Community Employment Supervisor

Salary: Point 1 of the CE Supervisor Salary Scale

Applicant Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate competency in all of the following areas:

  • Administration
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Training
  • People Management
  • ICT (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience
  • A major third-level qualification (NFQ Level 6 or higher) is desirable

 

Core Duties

  • Oversee the administrative, technical, and participant development aspects of the CE project.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the CE Supervisor's role in managing project delivery, particularly with participants in rehabilitation, long-term unemployment, or vulnerable situations.
  • Monitor staff and participant progress and report regularly to the Sponsoring Committee.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, training standards, and Department of Social Protection requirements.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Catering experience and ability to manage these services in alignment with NCE’s Sustainable Goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Strong time management and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good initiative and self-motivation.

 

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience supporting and developing individuals in early recovery.
  • QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer qualification.
  • Familiarity with QQI-accredited courses.
  • Experience with HSE Environmental Health Services.
